In the spirit of sharing

When a man has a great deal of knowledge, it becomes extremely easy for him to confuse “knowledge” with “wisdom” … and forget that the antonym of “wisdom” is not “ignorance” but “folly.

Manybooks.net, a site that I’ve been fuxing with since way back during my infamous days of twitter, recently blessed me with possibly my favourite sci-fi short story. It’s called “adaptation” by the Dallas McCord Reynolds and it kicks ass. It was written during the cold war, and the story is set in the future where mankind has advanced to a point where they could theoretically live forever *spoiler alert*. I don’t want to spoil the story for you so I won’t mention the plot, all I can say is, this is the best book that tackles the old age issue of Capitalism VS Communism. It’s written so wonderfully that, even if you’re not into Science Fiction, you’ll appreciate the story.

BTW, in case you haven’t figured it out yet, you can download the book for free by clicking on the quote in the beginning of this post.
