Bloody hell, could the Department of Education screw our kids any further?

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga after reports that her department wants to reduce the marks required for a learner to obtain a matric distinction. The Sunday Times reports that the proposal, published in the Government Gazette, aims to reduce the percentage matric marks required to obtain an “A pass” from 80% to 70%.

At the rate we’re going, it won’t be long before we come to a point were all it takes for a pupil to pass matric is to show up in class
